Not bad try!

I have a suggestion by the way : I recommend you make it a little hairier to help it differenciate between modern elephants.

wow, that really kicks ass! I"ve seen alot of photo chimeras of prehistoric creatures but this is the first one I've seen that actually looks real. Fantastic!

Thank you! when doing this, I was trying to avoid that look of chimera you refer, because it's what I usually get with a photomanipulation...

Hey which timetravel company did you use?
My last timetravel vacation sucked (we used those TimeJump guys)
Their service sucks
and they made us wait for about 2h
Then when we finally went we arrived at the wrong time period
I LOST MY CAMRA THERE!!!
and then arrive late to our correct time *sigh*
lol
Great job and what was the real photo Asian or African elephant?

Time Safari provided the time machine, but their service was awful too. At least, we go to the right time at first.
Btw, it was your camera that mentioned in Luis Rey's "Field Guide to Dinosaurs" staying in a Compsognathus lek/nest? ;P

African elefant, female

Yes!!
those @#*% things chased me
Luckily they aren't like the ones in that Jurassic Park movie
They're more like crows
They just like shiny things
so I throw my camera at them and they stopped
Hey try TimeCast (spelling) my friend said they have excellent service
They even garantee you that you will see the Big Five (the dinos ;p of cause)

Again nice job can't wait to see more.
O and I haven't read Luis Rey's "Field Guide to Dinosaurs" yet but planing to get it :D

Apart from the head looking a little bit blurry, it looks very realistic, good job.

Well, that's intended. I feel that, since some parts of the photo are blurry too, it will be more realistic than if the head would be better focused. But I've noticed some modifications to do in the trunk area.

Ok, clear something up for me, did you draw all of that? Or take a photo of an elaphant, and just change the head? :P It's very good and looks very realistic. Got the lighting and shadow done well.

Nice one! ^_^

It's from a photo of a real elephant I took during my holidays. I liked the pose and the elephant was almost in profile, so I could modify it quite easily. It will work for me as training in lighting/shadows for future drawings ^^.
