This is a "study" of Velociraptor mongoliensis. Differences between male and female are speculative, but I gave the male more colour and a little crest on the head. I have inspiration on some draws by Luis V. Rey and also in skeleton reconstruction by many other paleoartist.

The top one reminds me of Whitetail from Discovery Channel's Dinosaur Planet (loved that show!). Great picture!
That's neat! Velociraptors are my favorite bird/dino. With those teeth and huge talons

Cool interpretation, very well drawn, I couldn't have done it any better.

The only thing is you would only be able to tell wich is wich if the signs weren't there, actually the bones of male and female are different...the pubic bone to be exact, whence I thought it would show from the outside.
aww, ace work, and just after i had a palaeontology lecture too. great job

Brian Griffin: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't...nothing?
Peter Griffin: Oh.. yeah.

Awsome. Very...hm, how to put this......scientific. Y'know what I mean, right? How you actually used what science knows about the differences in feather coloration of male and female birds when drawing this.

I'll fave this before I start rambling.

Sylph: You know, little brother, you look particularly odd from this angle.
Dusk: You know, big sister, from this angle it would be particularly unfortunate if I had to pee.

I think I'm a litlle out-a-date about this. Do scientists now know that raptors once had feathers?
BTW, the first feathered raptors that I see and I like. Grat work.
